Virtual Psychological Assessments

Our services are flexible, and designed to fit your workflow and the specific needs of your Local Authority.

Monthly Assessments:

Choose regular monthly support, with between 1 and 20 assessments completed per month.

Assessment Packages:

If you’re struggling to keep up with assessment requests, we can help. We provide a tailored package to resolve this quickly and efficiently, ensuring all assessments are completed to the highest quality standards.

How Long Will an Assessment Take?

Loom Psychology typically completes assessments within 4 weeks from the date of notification. However, if you require an urgent turnaround, assessments can be expedited within 5 working days upon request.

How is the Early Years Virtual Assessment Carried out? (Pre-school to Reception)

  • Part 1: The Virtual Observation

    You will be sent a booking link for a Teams meeting. 

    This involves a member of staff following the child with an electronic device such as an iPad.

    If this is not possible, we will arrange a virtual home observation instead.

    This will take approximately 30 minutes.

  • Part 2: The Virtual Consultation

    You will be sent a booking link for a Teams meeting. 

    This involves a conversation between parents or carers and setting representatives.

    It will clarify the child’s needs, set outcomes and review provision.

    This will take approximately 75 minutes. 

How is the School Age Virtual Assessment Carried out? (Year 1 onwards)

  • Part 1: The Virtual Meeting

    You will be sent a booking link for a Teams meeting. 

    This involves the child having a conversation with the Educational Psychologist.

    It might include them completing some activities such as drawings or scaling questions.

    This will take approximately 30 minutes.

  • Part 2: The Virtual Consultation

    You will be sent a booking link for a Teams meeting. 

    This involves a conversation between parents or carers and setting representatives.

    It will clarify the child’s needs, set outcomes and review provision.

    This will take approximately 75 minutes.
